The Young World (The Young World Trilogy #1) by Chris Weitz Review

*I received this ecopy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review *

After a mysterious Sickness wipes out the rest of the population, the young survivors assemble into tightly run tribes. Jefferson, the reluctant leader of the Washington Square tribe, and Donna, the girl he's secretly in love with, have carved out a precarious existence among the chaos. But when another tribe member discovers a clue that may hold the cure to the Sickness, five teens set out on a life-altering road trip to save humankind.

The tribe exchanges gunfire with enemy gangs, escapes cults and militias, braves the wilds of the subway and Central Park...and discovers truths they could never have imagined.

MY THOUGHTS

This just wasn't for me. I really tried to read it but really I didn't find it exciting. What really annoyed me was Donna saying Like so many times. Maybe if I were younger I might not have found it annoying and I might have enjoyed it.

If you are a teen you might like this dystopian but for me it wasn't good at all and I ended up giving up on it at about 40% into it.

I give this 1 out of 5

The Young World comes out July 29th 2014 and you can pre-order it at amazon.com
